Keto Sweet and Spicy Mushrooms

These sautéed mushrooms are cooked until tender with aromatic scallions and garlic then coated in a sweet and spicy sauce of dried chill, sweet lakanto syrup and salty tamari.

These make a great side to Asian inspired meals or stirred through some hot cauliflower rice for a vegan lunch.

  • Step 1

    Thinly slice the mushrooms. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over a medium heat. Add the mushrooms and cook for a minute or so to soften a little.

    Thinly slice the scallions and crush the garlic. Add to the pan and stir well. Cook for 2-3 minutes until tender and fragrant.

    Whisk together the remaining olive oil, sesame oil, lakanto syrup, chili flakes and tamari. Drizzle over the mushrooms and stir well. Cook for a minute or so more to reduce the sauce.
