These simple charred scallions are tossed with olive oil and lime juice before being grilled until tender and golden, then sprinkled with a little dried chili for a kick of heat!

Ingredients
- Scallions Or Spring Onions, Tops And Bulb, Raw - 6 medium - 4 1/8" long 
- Lime Juice, Fresh - 2 teaspoon 
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon 
- Red Chilli Flakes - ½ teaspoon 
- Salt, Sea Salt - ⅛ teaspoon 
- Black Pepper - ⅛ teaspoon

- Step 1 Slice off the very base of the scallion roots and discard. Trim the leaves and remove any stringy outer leaves.
- Step 2 Heat a griddle pan over a high heat.
- Step 3 Drizzle the scallions with the olive oil and lime juice and season with salt and pepper. Rub the oil and seasonings into the scallions.
- Step 4 Arrange the scallions across the hot griddle pan and cook until tender and charred on both sides - about 4 minutes.
- Step 5 Toss with the dried chili flakes to serve.
