Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.Step 2
Add the eggs to a mixing bowl and season with salt and pepper. Beat well to combine.Step 3
Add the grated cheese to the bowl and tear in the ham in bite sized chunks. Finely chop the chives and add to the bowl. Beat everything together well to combine.Step 4
Melt the butter in an oven proof skillet over a medium/high heat. Add the egg mixture and leave to settle for a minute. As the egg begins to cook at the edges, use a spatula to bring the cooked edges towards the center of the skillet, allowing the uncooked egg to flow into the gaps.Step 5
Once the omelette is about 2/3 cooked, with some liquid still remaining on top, transfer to the oven and bake for a further 8-10 minutes until cooked through and golden brown all over.

Awesome and filling.

Good recipe but it doesn't need to be finished in the oven. And also an actual omelette needs to be folded over with the ingredients inside. So this is actually scrambled eggs with cheese and ham.

Easy and yummy. I skipped the pan step and placed in oven for full cooking instead. Baked at 400 for about 20min. I have used this recipe several times. I use whatever lunch meat I have handy. Always tastes great! I love the simple but delicious recipes.

I saved some cheese to sprinkle over the top during the baking process.

This was easy to make and really delicious. If you don't have to share, then you have breakfast prepared for four days!

I use 1 inch of finely-sliced leek instead of chives, sautéed in the butter, add a few sliced mushrooms, sometimes; then add the eggs, ham and half the cheese; put into a buttered baking dish, scatter remaining cheese over, and grill it or oven bake it for 30 minutes. Great hot or cold, especially for packed lunches and at picnics!

Delicious and simple. I skip the oven and just place a lid ontop of my pan to fully cook it through.
