Keto Vodka Sour
Nothing beats a long day better than a stiff drink to wind down. Carb Manager has a variety of Keto alcohol drink recipes for you to choose from like this Keto vodka sour cocktail. It’s made just like a classic vodka sour: citrus, vodka, bitters, and a frothy egg white. You can also add a little liquid stevia to your drink to help balance the sour and alcoholic tastes. Follow the instructions which will guide you through the proper shaking method. You’ll feel like a bartender with your new cocktail skills! If you’re concerned about the raw egg being included in your drink, read further to learn food safety tips.
The dry shake
To make a vodka sour (or any drink topped with egg white), you’ll have to do what is called the ‘dry shake’. To do the dry shake, shake your drink first with the egg white at room temperature. Then, add ice to your shaker and shake again. The egg will become frothy and light.
Can I drink raw egg?
Eggs can technically be consumed raw at certain temperatures. That’s why it’s important to serve your vodka sour cold. Warm eggs can become contaminated. Plus, you’re a little safer drinking the egg white instead of the egg yolk, but both need to still be consumed cold.
Please note, consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness, especially if you have increased susceptibility (i.e., elderly, children, pregnant women, immunocompromised individuals).

Step 1
Although you need a small amount, bitters are essential to making a vodka sour. Choose bitters such as Angostura or orange bitters. This is intended to add a bittersweet flavor to the drink, which also adds to the sour taste.Step 2
Combine your choice of plain vodka along with lemon juice, lime juice, liquid stevia, just a couple of drops of bitters, and raw egg white to a shaker. Don’t add any ice yet. Close and shake the shaker vigorously for about 30 seconds. Then, add ice to the shaker and shake again for another 15 seconds.Step 3
Fill a short glass with new ice. Then, strain the drink into your glass. Make sure to shake all the frothy egg white over the top of the drink where it will float. You can garnish your vodka sour with a slice of an orange wedge.
