I love how soft, moist and chocolatey these donuts are! They are full of rich chocolate flavor and great with a morning cup of coffee!

Recipe Steps

steps 7

25 min

  • Step 1

Preheat an oven to 350 F. Prepare a donut pan with nonstick cooking spray.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

In a food processor, combine almond flour, sweetener, dark cocoa powder and baking powder together. Pulse to combine.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Add in the olive oil, milk, eggs, vanilla extract and ⅛ t kosher salt. Pulse to turn into a smooth batter.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

Spoon and smooth batter evenly into the donut pan to make 6 donuts. Being careful not to overfill the pan so as they rise the dough will not close the center. You can wipe the centers of the donuts to keep them free of batter.
    Step 4
  • Step 5

Bake for 15 minutes or until cooked through.
    Step 5
  • Step 6

Allow donuts to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before removing to a cooling rack.
    Step 6
  • Step 7

In the meantime, prepare the glaze by combining the rest of the Swerve, 3 tablespoons of coconut milk, ¼ t vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Dip the top of each donut into the glaze and then set aside on the rack to dry. Keep donuts stored in an airtight container for up to one week.

Haven’t tried these yet but am sure they are delish! I will try lupin bean flour, maybe add some cinnamon, and sour cream. If I have cals and fat to spare — may experiment with a white cacao-ish icing. I don’t have donut pans either. Think I’ll shop for silicone ones. I do have silicone pan dulce pan that would work in the meantime. Great KETO-tastic day to all😎

Wow, wonderful 👍👍 I have to be gluten free, am diabetic and gone keto for awhile now. I was sooooo craving something chocolate and a little sweet. This is it. Followed the recipe and ended up with 5 tasty doughnuts. I can only have half of one at a time, but my goodness it's a great treat. Thanks again for your recipe! 😁

Came out so good. Based on reviews I added a tblsp of sour cream for moistness. I also added a tblsp of cocoa to the glaze.. I also only had almond milk, worked great and I cut the almond milk to 2 tblsp and was perfect

These are good, not extraordinarily moist which was mildly disappointing next time I will add a little bit of sour cream to fix that. Used almond milk instead of coconut. Doubled the recipe because I have a 12 donut tray. Filled them all and had enough to make 4 cupcakes. Put some lakanto milk chocolate chips in those. Then made a low carb chocolate glaze for the top instead of using the recipe glaze. Will make again. Good recipe.

Can I use almond milk instead of coconut milk?

These were fantastic! Made them with sunflower flour instead of almond 1:1 ratio. Came out great and even my kids loved them

Fantastic!! Made the “vanilla batter”, 5x the ingredients, then measured out 1 cup, and made chocolate donuts, another cup made pumpkin spice donuts, another cup made lemon donuts, etc, great for the whole family, delicious no matter how I flavored them.

I used a muffin tin this morning and it worked out fine. Have ordered a donut pan though. 😊

Just made these for the first time...YUM! I didn’t have the Swerve brown sugar so I just used the regulaR Swerve in both places, and I only had the regular and not dark cocoa - mixed it all by hand also, and they are still amazing! Thank you!

Very good and easy, but is this 2 or 4 net carbs? The recipe shows 4 net carbs but when I log it, shows 2 net carbs...?

1 doughnut shows 3.5. Net carbs when I log in 1 serving.

Net carbs are the amount of carbohydrates a food contains after subtracting the fiber. Although it's generally accepted that the fiber in whole foods isn't digested and absorbed, not all experts on carb-restricted diets agree on this point. ... example: 5 grams of total carbs minus 2 grams of fiber = 3 grams of net carbs. Hope this helps 🙂

These were soooo good. I’ve been on keto for a full week now without no chocolate or sweets and these definitely hit the spot. I sooo needed these. I’m good to go now with keto for a long while. Thank you 😘

Delicious. Accidentally I left out the extra virgin olive oil and they came out good. At least it saves 30 calories. Easy to make.

I didn't use the brown sugar. I use 1/4 c of xylitol instead and they came out great! I didn't have brown sugar and I don't like sweet too much but this totally hit the spot! Kids loves them too! I'll definitely make another batch!

Delicious, filling, and sweet. This was the first grain-like food I’ve had since starting keto and it truly satisfied the craving I had been having. So glad I stumbled upon this!
