Keto Mushroom Swiss Turkey Burgers

10 ratings

Buttery mushrooms and gooey swiss cheese are a mouth-watering combo set atop a healthy turkey burger. This recipe leaves room for you to add additional keto toppings, since the carb count is so low. Fresh avocado, chopped tomato, or salty condiments are all acceptable extras to add.

Recipe Steps

  • Step 1

In a bowl, mix together the ground turkey with the first amounts of salt and pepper, the onion powder, mustard powder, paprika, and mayo. Divide the mixture into equal parts and flatten them into patties 5” wide.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and place in the burgers. Cook the burgers for at least 5 minutes per side, but you can go longer to get more of a char at your discretion. Once cooked, set the burgers aside to rest.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Melt the butter in the same pan over low heat to deglaze it. Toss in chopped mushrooms with the second amounts of salt and pepper and the garlic. Cook the mushrooms on a medium-low setting until they are tender and browned from the butter.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

Arrange the mushrooms into portions equal to the amount of burgers you’ve made and lay a slice of swiss cheese over each portion. Cook until the cheese has melted on a low heat.
    Step 4
  • Step 5

Turn off the stove heat. Use a spatula to transfer each portion of mushroom and swiss onto a burger. It’s okay if the cheese and mushrooms mix together a little! Nothing is perfect!
    Step 5
  • Step 6

For serving, arrange a ½ ounce of chopped romaine or greens per serving and place the burger on top.
    Step 6

Is it 699 calories for two burgers or one?

What is the serving size? 2 burgers or 1? Those calories seem very wrong.

Calories do not seem correct for 1 burger. 100g of turkey thigh mince is approx 140 calories?

There are many more ingredients aside from turkey in this recipe. All nutritional info is correct.
