Keto BBQ Beef Burgers

Summer is here, and what better way to celebrate that than to make some mouthwatering and juicy Keto BBQ beef burgers? These burgers are not only a delicious staple but also a great addition to your Keto summer recipe collection. One of the best things about these burgers is their ease of making, requiring only minimal ingredients to make a tasty and satisfying meal.

What meat is best for making a Keto burger?

When making a Keto burger, choosing a meat cut that is high in fat is essential. Ground beef with a higher fat content, such as 80/20 or 85/15, is recommended because it will result in a juicier and more flavorful burger. Other types of meat that also work well in Keto burgers include ground pork, lamb, and turkey.

What are the best Keto buns for making Keto burgers?

The best Keto buns for making burgers are homemade buns, for which you can find many recipes on this app. The most commonly used Keto buns include Keto cloud buns, almond flour buns, and coconut flour buns. Experimenting with different Keto bun options can help you find the perfect low-carb burger bun that satisfies your texture and taste preferences. You can also use store-bought buns to cut back on time.

How to store these Keto beef burgers?

Once cooked, allow the burger patties to cool to room temperature before storing them in an airtight container. Ensure to remove any raw vegetables before storing them. The beef burger patties can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or in the freezer (without the buns) for up to 3 months. When reheating, it is recommended to use the oven or a skillet on low heat to prevent drying out the burger patties.

Cut the tomato into slices of medium thickness and slice the burger buns in half. To a mixing bowl, add the ground beef, black pepper, and salt. Mix with your hands or a wooden spoon until the seasoning is well incorporated into the ground beef.

  • Step 2

Separate the mince into 2 equal portions and form each portion into a burger patty. You can use your hand to form the round patties or a big round cookie cutter. Season each patty with a sprinkle of salt. When cooked, this will give the patties a tasty golden crust on the outside.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Preheat the pan over medium heat. Add the olive oil, then place the burger patties on the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. Turn the heat to low and continuously slather the barbecue sauce on each side of the patties. Cook on low for another 1 minute until the barbecue sauce thickens and the patties are well coated in the sauce.
    Step 3

Begin assembling the burgers. To each half of the buns, spread ½ tbsp mayonnaise. Then, add the lettuce, burger patties, sliced tomatoes, and finally, place the top half of the bun on top.
