Recipe Steps

  • Step 1

Line a 7” by 5” oven-safe dish with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray. In a medium mixing bowl, add the almond flour, melted butter, sweetener, and peanut butter. Mix to combine until well incorporated. Add the mixture into the prepared dish and flatten to form an evenly smooth top surface and set aside.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

In the meantime, in a microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate chips and microwave at 30 seconds intervals until melted, stirring between the intervals. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter mixture and spread to coat the top surface evenly. Place the dish in the fridge for about 2 hours until it hardens.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Remove the dish from the fridge and allow it to come to room temperature for about 20 minutes. Remove the bar dough from the dish by flipping the dish onto a surface lined with parchment paper with the peanut butter side facing up. This makes it easier to cut through since the chocolate is hardened. Cut the bars into 12 squares and store any leftovers in the refrigerator until ready to eat.
    Step 3

I made these as cupcakes in paper with a dollop of the chocolate on top. No sticky hands

These taste like a Reese’s cup! I followed the recipe exactly using the brands I had on hand I used Let’s Bake Believe sugar free melting wafers from Walmart and Aldi brand natural unsweetened peanut butter.

OMG… so good. As some of the contributors said. Just a little less butter, only 50g. A tiny sprinkle of sea salt. I used cup cake liners - I only had crunchy peanut butter and Lindt 85% dark chocolate to hand, so maybe the carb count wasn’t spot on… Made 12… they looked and tasted just like Reese’s. Defo make again as they satisfy my sweet craving

Because of the Allulose scare I used 2 T Splendid Allulose…. Not 4 T. And the milk chocolate chips with no added sugar…delish! Just like Reese’s Peanut Butter cups!

Omg this is sooo good! Next time though I will add less butter as I do not feel that much is really needed and maybe some coconut 🥥 for a taste. Love it!

These are good. I added a pinch of chilli flakes to my chocolate and topped it with sea salt. Except one bar weighs about 32 grams that’s more than 10 grams over. I used the correct size tin and everything

I may have use a bit too much PB because they were very soft and required refrigeration to firm them up enough to eat. I also had to sub a combo of 100% cacao chocolate bar with 94% cacao chocolate bar for the SF chocolate chips, as the only SF chocolate chips I could find still had 7g net carbs. But the flavor was really good. My keto DIL and my non-keto hubby also really liked them.

I love this recipe. I live in UK and can easily get PB that’s 100% peanuts. No palm oil. Super tasty and much better for you. There’s loads of types. Also I use 85% Lindt and add some chilli flakes / chilli powder. And sprinkle sea salt on top. YUM!

I’ve made these a few times now and LOVE them. One tip…Grind a little sea salt on top of the peanut butter mixture before adding the chocolate. Perfect!!

I am really confused by this. Is this smuckers peanut butter really low in carbs?. I used regular peanut butter thinking it would be fine but just discovered it has 2 times as many carbs. It’s so hard to trust these recipes when they are brand specific!

You have to use peanut butter that is JUST peanuts. Regular peanut butter has LOTS of added sugar. The Just Peanuts has NO sugar. That’s why you add the artificial sweetener. The Just peanuts peanut butter doesn’t taste very good on its own and you have to mix it - the peanuts and oil separate.

Peter Pan creamy peanut butter has just as many/few carbs as Smuckers (7 total). Jif has 8.

These are the most tasty way I have found to add some extra fat. Any day I have some extra room for a little protein and some fat I grab one. Better than any packaged pb and chocolate treat.
