Recipe Steps

steps 8

1 h 20 min

  • Step 1

Begin by making the alfredo sauce for the pizza. Melt the butter in a medium sized skillet over low heat. Then, slowly whisk in the heavy cream in 3-4 additions. Whisk until the fats have emulsified.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

In about 3 additions, slowly whisk in the parmesan cheese, making sure each addition is completely melted before adding in more. Whisk until you get a thick and creamy alfredo sauce.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Remove the alfredo sauce from the stove top. Transfer the sauce to a bowl or plate, and place it in the refrigerator. Refrigerate for 20 minutes or until the sauce is cooled and coagulated.
  • Step 4

Once the sauce is cooled, preheat an oven to 350 degrees. Place your already prepared and frozen chicken crust on a flat surface. Spread the alfredo sauce over the chicken crust, making sure to leave the edges bare, like you would a regular pizza. Then sprinkle the pepper, oregano, and basil over the sauce.
    Step 4
  • Step 5

Arrange the arugula and mozzarella cheese over the pizza as pictured.
    Step 5
  • Step 6

For baking, you will need to place the prepared pizza on the pan that has been turned over. Choose a pan that is slightly bigger than your pizza or the same pan you formed your chicken crust in. Line the exposed side of the pan with parchment paper before placing the pizza on top.
    Step 6
  • Step 7

If your chicken crust has become soft during the assembly process, return the prepared pizza to the freezer for 5-10 minutes, just so the chicken can become solid and sturdy for the baking process. Then, bake the pizza on your overturned pan in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese and edges of the pizza are browned.
    Step 7
  • Step 8

Once baked, let the pizza cool for approx.10 minutes before slicing it into 8 slices. Enjoy!

First time making meatza and I have to say that I liked it! I didn't add enough salt to the crust or the sauce so I will add more next time. I was expecting the arugula to be strong tasting but it wasn't. I think the kids would like it. I didn't put anything in the fridge or freezer and it turned out great! The crust was perfect with crispy edge. I baked it as I would bake anything else in the oven and it came out just right. Will definitely make this again and I think a pork or pork-beef crust would taste awesome too!

Love this recipe! I’ve tried using both cooked and raw chicken and the raw chicken actually worked out better- it creates a better cooked crust with crispy edges!

I used a cast iron to spread out the dough and popped it into the freezer for an hour. I kept the dough in the cast iron and assembled the pizza and baked for 45-1hr and it came out perfect.

The crust is a separate recipe on here and should be made at least an hour before (has to go in the freezer)

Once your alfredo sauce has cooled, apply it to your pre-made frozen chicken crust. You can then wrap and freeze this until you are ready to add your toppings and bake. Hope this helps!

I saw the chicken pizza crust on this app had poor ratings and ended up using another users recommendation. The pizza was done quickly since I had the temp at 500 degrees for the crust, added toppings and put back in for approx 6 more min
