Lay the sirloin on a flat surface, and rub it down with the first amounts of salt and pepper, cumin, paprika, and the first amount of olive oil.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

Drizzle the second amount of olive oil in a skillet, and cook the steak on high heat for 6-7 minutes per side - until it’s cooked through and has a golden brown char on the outside. Remove the steak from the skillet, and set it aside to rest.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Slice the bell pepper into strips. Turn the skillet heat down to medium-low, and cook the peppers until they’re soft and browned with the remaining salt and pepper.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

Slice the cooked steak into strips. Return them to the skillet with the peppers, and turn the heat off. Sprinkle the cheese over the ingredients so it melts slightly. Serve hot!

For your health, please don’t use teflon coated pans. Otherwise great.

So delicious! I added cilantro and a 1/4 avocado and had it between a orowheat keto wrap. Amaze-balls!

I made this with Turkey tenderloins and added some onions and extra garlic. Since I don’t eat beef, the Turkey option is always my go to for beef and pork. It was delicious! I did adjust for the added onions snd garlic, but still way within my carb allowance. I placed a few slices of avocado on top! Yummy! Thinking I might try a similar version with large shrimp

I didn’t have beef so I substitute it with shoulder pork and it was YUM YUM YUM! This recipe is absolutely delicious and so simple! (Not sure how it would change the Calories? But I wasn’t too bothered)

Is anyone having trouble printing out recipes. I find it very intermittent and waste hours on getting recipes printed, plus flattening my mobile battery in no time. My Options (ie 3 dots) very rarely work. I’ve been waiting on responses to this. Can’t rate this recipe until this is sorted out!

I added some onions with the peppers...counted the extra carbs for onions and 4gr tortilla. Added avocados and sour cream snd a little salsa. I used our left over steak from last nigh with about a 1/2 c of hamburger so there would be more juices since my steak was a leftover. Fit into my daily carb allowance and it was delicious!!

I wrapped this in a low carb tortilla added sour cream hot sauce and used Mexican cheese. It was better than some restaurants.

This is very good. I make it several times a month according to the recipe directions, but today I had a busy afternoon planned and didn’t want to cook at the end of it, so I browned the steak ( after slicing it into thin strips), peppers, and onion (my addition), added approx 1/2 cup of taco sauce, and let it simmer in the crockpot on low for a few hours. I used Lowry’s taco seasoning because I didn’t have cumin. This was delicious! Definitely will make it like this from now on.

It was just ok. I should have added more flavor to the meat with garlic powder.

I agree JasminbeF. I am a garlic lover & use it with almost everything I make. I laugh when the recipe says " 1 clove " I double it or more. Never hurts and it's good for you.

My suggestion to any recipe is to basically double the garlic. Will you ward of vampires? Yes. Will it be extra tasty though? Also yes.

OMG! I made this for my whole family! It was a huge hit!! Will become a staple in my house! I had 3 ribeyes and 4 people! We had leftovers! Will make this again! I marinated my steaks in a little braggs liquid aminos and Weber Chicago steak seasoning for 30 mins. Then rubbed then down with this recipe and cooked them in an iron skillet, I added onions for the fam but picked them out if mine so I would not add more carbs, I omitted the cheese but used smashed avocado and sour cream on my portion! Delicious! Thx for this recipe!

I agree with Pup. I could be wrong but do they even have a butcher? Everything comes in prepacked. And as far as my town, Walmart meat is more expensive than the other three grocery stores in town, all of which have butchers.

More money then brains huh? Meat at Walmart (where I live anyways) is actually high quality. Far better than most grocery chains. You’ll learn , your still a “pup” right?

Why? The meat there is pretty good. Just because it's not expensive doesnt mean it's not good. Yeesh!!!!
