Keto Breakfast Sausage Burger
This breakfast burger is fun, flavorsome and packed with healthy fats.
Avocado serves as the burger bun, housing a hearty filling of fried egg, lettuce, bacon and a pork patty.
The patty itself is simply made with the meat from Italian sausages. For this you could use any sausages you prefer with your favorite blend of seasonings.

Step 1
Cut into the sausage casings and squeeze the meat into a mixing bowl.Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over a medium/high heat. Divide the sausage meat into two even portions and form into individual burger patties with your hands – about a ½ inch thick.Step 3
Add the patties to the hot pan and fry until golden brown on the outside and completely cooked through. Set aside, leaving any fat in the pan.Step 4
Add the bacon and eggs to the pan with the sausage fat and cook until the bacon is crisp and the eggs are cooked through.Step 5
Peel the avocados and slice in half lengthways, removing the stone.Step 6
To assemble the burger, slice a little off of the bottom of 2 of the avocado halves – this will give them a flat base to stand on. Layer two of the avocado healves each with a sausage patty, a slice of lettuce, a rasher of crispy bacon and a fried egg. Top with the remaining avocado halves to serve.

Come on now! I love avocados but how you gonna use them as bread??? You can’t pick them up without getting your fingers all green and mushy. You could eat them with a fork, but then what’s the point ?

Ha, HA, HA. Avacados, as buns! But I love avacados and I used Romaine leaves for buns. So awesome! On keto "FatShirl's" lost 20 lbs!

I'm sorry but Avocado as buns. 🤦♀️

Very good but hard to eat because of the size. I used ground Italian sausage and made my own patties. I also added cheese as another member suggested.

I don’t know where you live, but in my local stores there are several brands that make Keto bread. The brand Franz makes burger buns that have only 1 net carb and they are actually really good. They taste like regular hamburger buns.

You could use parmesan wraps from aldi, they are microwavable and crispy!! I love them as a taco as well. You can find them in the refrigerator section by the egg white wraps. 😋 just put the avocado inside the wrap

Really good...I would have never thought to use avocado as my bread. It's a good combo...I also added Swiss cheese to give a little bit complement to avocado.
