    ½ each - approx 4" - 6" long

  • Lime

    ¼ each - 2" diameter

  • Sesame Seeds

    2 teaspoon, whole pieces

  • Cilantro

    ⅓ cup, chopped

  • Coconut Oil

    Coconut Oil

    1 tablespoon

  • Salt, Sea Salt

  • Step 1

    Add the pork to a mixing bowl. Finely grate the ginger and mince the garlic and roughly chop the chili. Add to the mixing bowl along with the ground pork, cilantro, the zest of the lime, sesame seeds, salt and pepper.

    Using your hands, combine the ingredients together thoroughly, and divide into 20 even meatballs.

    Heat the coconut oil in a large pan over a medium/high heat. Add the meatballs and fry until golden brown all over and completely cooked through. About 8-12 minutes. Serve immediately.

    I just made this recipe this evening and it came out very well. The taste is reminiscent of beefs balls you would order at dim sum but without the soft-spongy texture. I’d love to recreate the dim sum texture but I would make this again regardless. Very good!

      Says yield is 4 servings = 18 meatballs. So 1 serving is 4.5 meatballs?

        Thanks for catching! I have amended and updated this to 20 meatballs - 5 per person, so they will divide evenly!
