Ingredients

  • Bacon

  • Broccoli Florets Raw

    1 tablespoon, sliced

  • Maple Flavored Syrup by Lakanto

    1 tablespoon

  • Lemon Juice

    Lemon Juice

    ½ tablespoon

  • Red Onion

    Red Onion

    ¼ medium - 2 1/2" diameter

  • Salt, Sea Salt

    Salt, Sea Salt

    ¼ teaspoon

  • Black Pepper

    Black Pepper

    ⅛ teaspoon

Recipe Steps

  • Step 1

    Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over a medium heat. Add the bacon and cook through until crisp and golden.

    Whilst the bacon is cooking, roughly chop the broccoli florets into small bite sized pieces and thinly slice the onion. Add to a serving bowl.

    Once the bacon is cooked, set aside and add the flaked almonds to the skillet. Cook in the bacon grease for 2-3 minutes until golden.

    Roughly chop the bacon and scatter over the salad.

    Scatter the flaked almonds over the top.

  • Step 6

    Whisk together the oil, syrup, lemon juice, salt and pepper and drizzle over the salad to serve.

      Great combo of flavors
