What sweetener can you use for this Keto coffee?

The coffee is prepared with maple-flavored syrup, however, this can easily be substituted for a teaspoon of your preferred low-carb sweetener. Alternatively, you can omit this altogether if preferred.

This makes a great breakfast drink option, loaded with healthy fats. Alternatively, this makes a nice treat drink served with a slice of low-carb cake!

What is the best chocolate to use for this Keto drink?

To limit the number of carbs and keep this recipe Keto-friendly, we are using cocoa powder. While you can use a sugar-free chocolate bar to make this Keto beverage, it usually contains more carbs. Using a chocolate bar will also increase the preparation time since you must melt it.

  • Step 1

    Prepare your fresh coffee in a large mug. Add your preferred coffee with 1.5 cups of boiling water so that it is to your desired strength. Mix to dilute.

    Either transfer the coffee to a blender, or if you have a milk frother you can leave the coffee in the mug. Add the butter, oil, cinnamon, syrup and cocoa powder. Allow the fats to melt into the hot coffee.

    Carefully blend or froth until well combined, taking care if doing this in the mug. The coffee will be foamy on top. Serve immediately.
