Low Carb Electrolyte Lemon Lime Soda
Soda, Sodie, Pop, Sodapop - it doesn’t matter what you call it. Nothing beats a hot or exhausting afternoon like a cold, refreshing carbonated soda. If you’ve been missing sweet drinks on the Keto diet, you’ll love this mock version of everyone’s favorite lemon-lime soda. Yes, it tastes just like what you’ve bought at the grocery store or grabbed in a fast-food drive-thru! This easy Keto electrolyte drink has the real citrus flavors of lemon and lime with a little extra sweetness added and a pinch of salt. The soda is crisp, bubbly, tart, and sweet - what every kid and adult wants in a refreshing soda. Even better, this Keto soda is actually healthy for you! The ingredients create electrolytes, which restore sore muscles and low energy levels. When you cut out processed foods on the Keto diet, your body loses a lot of sodium, leaving some people feeling weak and tired. A glass of this Keto electrolyte drink elixir will cure that right up!
How Is Keto Soda Healthy?
Not only are you completely eliminating all the unhealthy added sugars that make regular soda so bad for you in the first place, but you’re adding ingredients that create electrolytes to restore your body. The acidic citrus fruit creates ions when dissolved in water, and so does salt. The salt also helps you retain more water in your body, making this soda actually rehydrating instead of dehydrating.
Can I Make A Lot At Once?
Of course, you can make as many servings at one time as you want by clicking the + and - buttons in the recipe yield. However, if you want to make enough to enjoy throughout the week, you don’t want your soda to go flat. Only follow Steps 1-2 to make the base of the soda. Then, add sparkling water when you want to make a fresh glass.

Step 1
Review these notes when gathering ingredients to make the soda. To make an authentic flavor, choose standard lemons and limes instead of Meyer lemons or Key limes. While these fruits taste great, they add a sweetness that doesn’t match the flavors you’re creating here. If you don’t own pink sea salt, plain flaky sea salt or table salt are perfect substitutes. You may choose between plain or lime-flavored sparkling water.Step 2
Squeeze all the lemon juice and lime juice into the bottom of a tall glass at least 12 ounces or larger. You may pour the juice through a sieve to remove any unwanted pulp. Otherwise, continue to stir salt, liquid stevia, and erythritol into the juice until the ingredients dissolve. Fill the glass about halfway with ice cubes.Step 3
To complete the soda, pour sparkling water into the glass until it’s filled. Stir the drink together gently once more to combine all the flavors. You may taste and adjust the flavors to your liking. If you find the citrus flavor too strong, you can use extra sparkling water or tap water. If you want to add more sweetness to the soda, opt for more liquid stevia over erythritol. Enjoy immediately while cold and fizzy.

If you add fresh mint and unsweet coconut shavings, then muddle it before you add the ice and sparkling water, it taste like a mojito without the alcohol. I do this all the time, it’s fantastic.
