The Best Keto Butter Coffee with Heavy Whipping Cream

17 ratings

This Keto BULLETPROOF® butter coffee is rich in fats to help keep you satiated between meals. Quick and easy to prepare, this makes a great breakfast on its own or an accompaniment to your Keto breakfast. Alternatively, this makes a lovely treat drink, perfect served alongside a slice of low-carb cake.

What ingredients make up this Keto butter coffee?

This Keto coffee is prepared with strong black coffee, erythritol, and unsalted butter. Once you have prepared and blended your butter coffee it is topped with a generous helping of whipped heavy cream and a sprinkle of sweet cinnamon. Although we have used erythritol in this recipe, you may use your preferred low-carb sweetener or alternatively omit it entirely if desired.

Here are some tips to make this Keto coffee:

You will need a blender or frother to mix your coffee. This is crucial in order to blend the fat from the butter into the hot coffee. You may also wish to use BULLETPROOF® Brain Octane Oil (MCT Oil) in place of butter if desired.

Can you adapt this coffee to a vegan diet?

Absolutely! The only ingredients in this recipe that aren't vegan are heavy cream and butter. Simply swap the cream for coconut milk and the butter for coconut oil or vegan butter.

Carbs are not in heavy whipping cream, there are 0 carbs, so this is a good 0 carb option ☺️

Erythritol has carbs i think. I use stevia.

Delish. I subbed coconut oil for the butter. Will definitely enjoy this again and again.

Add MCT oil if you need to up your fat intake. I usually put my hot coffee, butter, and MCT oil in my ninja bullet then add the whip cream on top

Is the whipped cream added last? And is it suppose to just rest on top or do I mix & blend and it with the coffee? Thanks.

You can do either. I melt butter in a mason jar (10 seconds in microwave) then add MCT oil, 1 tsp. of sweetener, add fresh hot coffee and blend it with handheld frother or you can use a blender. Then add 1 TBS of in-whipped

For breakfast I often combine 1/2 coffee, premier protein and one tablespoon of brain octane and froth. I do it in a large glass because it doubles in volume! Keeps me full for hours!

It makes all the difference when you blend it or use a frother. The oil doesn’t separate. Love it.

The heavy whipping cream I buy has zero carbs and the stevia sweetener has 2 carbs. I have no idea how the recipe writer came up with 7.9 carbs! I’m planning to try this with green tea since I don’t drink coffee ☕️ 😁
