  • Vegetable Broth, Bouillon Or Consomme

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  • Step 2

    Heat the olive oil in a large pan over a medium/high heat. Add the sausages and cook until brown all over.

    Whilst the sausages are browning add the broccoli to a medium pan and cover with water. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

    Add the vegetable stock, cream, ½ cup grated cheddar and the nutmeg to a small saucepan over a low/medium heat. Simmer until thickened.

    Arrange the sausages and the broccoli in an oven proof dish and season with salt and pepper.

    Pour the cheese sauce over the broccoli and sausages and top with the remaining grated cheese.

    Bake for 20 minutes until golden and bubbling and the sausages are cooked through.

      I did this recipe with ground Italian sausage and no broth. Was delicious

        Great flavour, but recipe is far too watery. Half stock/broth, plus a tbs of almond flour may improve.

            This recipe was DELICIOUS!!! I little watery but if you a tbsp of Almond flour that will thicken it . My 11yr old twins loved it.
