The Best Keto Butter Coffee

65 ratings

If you aren't much of a breakfast person but want a Keto beverage that can keep you satiated until lunchtime, then this coffee recipe is perfect for you. The addition of butter and coconut oil makes for this ultra-creamy, rich, delicious, and almost velvety coffee. This Keto butter coffee is the BEST because it only needs 3 ingredients and 5 minutes to prepare a fantastic cup of coffee.

Why add fats to your coffee?

In this recipe, we are using butter and coconut oil. Alternatively, you can use ghee and cocoa butter. Having a high-fat source in your morning coffee is a great way to maintain ketosis all day. This high-fat coffee will keep you satiated for a couple of hours, which is perfect if you are trying to lose some weight. Another benefit of adding butter and coconut oil to your coffee is the boost of energy it provides. This coffee may keep you alert, productive, and focused.

What kind of coffee is best for this recipe?

We have used freshly brewed coffee for this recipe. However, you can also use espresso or instant coffee. Just make sure that your coffee is strong because the added fats will soften the coffee's flavor.

Can you flavor this Keto coffee?

Absolutely! You can add vanilla extract, almond extract, or spices to the butter and coconut oil, whisk until the fats soften, then serve it over the coffee. You can also sweeten it by adding stevia to the brewed coffee.

I was so skeptical being day 1 keto newbie, and who is a coffee addict. I make my own cappuccino each morning, with a moka pot and milk frother. I almost didn't do keto based on having to give up my cappuccino's, loaded with carbs, everyday. But WOW! Amazing recipe. Followed recipe, used my moka pot with Illy bold roast espresso. Only additional ingredient 2 tsp of monk sugar. Whipped it all up in my frother....heavenly! Thank you!

I love this coffee. I just mix everything together and sometimes I add a little of cocoa powder, vanilla and stevia. I whip it up in my Magic Bullet. Delicious and filling.

My “ Bullet Catch” coffee uses The Magic Coffee Company brand Bullet Catch Brazilian coffee(6oz) Organic grass-fed unsalted butter( 2tbsp) and 1 tbsp high quality MCT oil. I melt the butter and MCT oil in a microwave. Add to the fresh brewed coffee and blend in a small blender. This makes it easier to digest with much less stomach issues. 450 calories appx. 50 g fat.

I pour a little hot dark coffee into my mug and add my unsalted butter, mct oil and a little non sugar sweetener then I use my hand held frother When it’s the way I like it that’s when I add the rest of the coffee ☕️ It’s delightful and filling.

I used salted sweet cream butter and I didn’t even need to use my sweetener. 🙌 Perfect, love it! Going to be a breakfast staple now. And….. best of all it is quick and simple.

Whipping cream is used as a topping, kinda like a latte. Well that’s how I see it….
