Keto Air Fryer Thai Basil Beef

One of my favorite dishes is Thai Basil Beef, so I turned it into a Keto Air Fryer version! If you have never cooked ground beef in the air fryer, you will love how simple and easy it is. Simply place the ground beef into the air fryer and begin to cook it. Then stir it after the time is up. Continue this process only a few more times until the meat is cooked. During this cooking process, oyster sauce, fish sauce, soy sauce, and sesame seed oil are added. Then right at the very end, fresh Thai basil leaves are tossed into the meat. This dish is excellent served on top of cauliflower rice.

What kind of beef should I use?

I like to use 85% beef which has a nice amount of fat for flavor and macros.

Where can I find Thai basil?

Thai basil can be found at most Asian grocery stores. If you cannot find Thai basil, you can substitute it with flat-leafed Italian basil, but it won’t be quite the same!

I like spicy food, what can I add?

This dish is delicious with Sambal or some chopped Thai chilies on top before serving.

What if I do not have an air fryer?

If you do not have an air fryer, you can cook the beef in a skillet instead:

I did not use the air fryer for this, just a skillet. I really had high expectations for the flavor with all the sauces but in the end it was dry and bland. I have some leftovers in the freezer so I’ll probably play around with seasonings and see if I can punch up the flavor.
