Keto Tahini Energy Balls

10 ratings

Packed with protein rich seeds and healthy fats, these little tahini bites are the perfect snack when you are in need of a boost during the day.

Although xylitol has been used in the recipe, this can be substituted as a straight swap for erythritol.

Where coconut oil is required, this should be relatively soft so that it can be mixed easily but not melted.

I subbed almond butter for the coconut oil in these and 1 real ketone chocolate stick for the sweetener. Absolutely amazing!

I make this often and keeps ages in fridge for when I feel like a treat, I add all sorts of nuts and seeds and chopped chocolate as well as protein powder. I set in a tray and cut into squares to avoid the mess when making balls

Measurement conversions to grams are way off. I’ll do my own on the basis that the cups are correct and hope for the best.

Brands of cocoa powders and even cacao powders are interchangeable for recipes. Just make sure to use one that's unsweetened.

I substituted one dropper fun of liquid stevia for the Xylitol. Rather than try to roll this in balls, I put it in a ziplock, trimmed a corner and piped it into a mini muffin size silicon sheet and put it in the freezer. Fingers crossed.

Yes! I did this too and in 15 mins they were perfect. Then I just popped them out of the moulds and into a container to store in the freezer.

These are really good! When I took the dough out of the fridge to make the balls, it had hardened to the point that I had to leave them on the counter for about 10 minutes. t that point the dough was melting on the bottom of the bowl. Used small melon baller and worked them up quickly and returned to fridge. Won’t be able to leave them out at gatherings but that’s ok. Last longer that way! Will have to cut the xyla back next time.

Why does it say 1 1/2 servings per truffle? Is one truffle not one serving...?

These are delicious and perfect in my humble opinion. Love that there is no butter as I found I cannot tolerate cold butter in my mouth. Great recipe!!!!

                8 carbs for 1 ball?

That includes the xylitol. When the xylitol is subtracted, you have only 1 gram carb

Way too sweet. I’m cutting down the sweetener next batch by at least half

I agree. I already cut to less than 1/4 cup and still too sweet. Will probably go to 1/8th cup
