Keto Cheese Crackers

133 ratings

I love how easy these are to make! They do take some time to crisp in the oven, so plan ahead! The only ingredient in these crackers is cheese! To make these, I used a regular sliced cheese. You can also use ultra thin sliced cheese, but the bake time will be significantly less.

Be sure to use sliced cheese not block cheese! Sliced cheese holds it's shape as block cheese does not!

Really good. I played it by eye instead of time and they ended up a little chewy but still tasty. Next time I will follow exactly and see if they are more textured like a cracker☺️

I have these in the oven. It’s one big blob of cheese. They all melted together. Very disappointed. I spaced them like the picture shows. Will try one more batch spaced far apart.

How thick are y’all cutting your slices? Anyone know how many grams or ounces the initial piece of cheese should weigh before cutting it in 4 pieces?

I used the Costco brand “Adams Reserve” and microwaved them on parchment paper, 3 at a time. They turned out EXACTLY like cheddar Wisps, except they didn’t leave that weird coating inside my teeth. Put 3 - 5 spaced out on a piece of parchment paper and microwave for 1 minute, undisturbed, then let rest for a minute. The less slices of cheese you put on the paper, the crispier they’ll get.

Cooking in the microwave for 1 minute is the way to go, and if you don’t have parchment paper you can use paper plates and the crackers turn out crispy

Used the exact cheese, followed directions exactly, but the first hour scorched the squares! Waste of money

I make these all the time and have never had a problem. I think either your oven temp was too high or you used the wrong kind of cheese.

Same happened to me the first time so when I redid, I just kept an eye on them so they didn't burn. Everyone's oven is different so... Just keep an eye on them and it will work, it's really worth it. They're yummy....... Go to snackish for me now

I made these last night. I used pepper jack and sharp cheddar. The pepper jack pieces turned brown but they taste ok but I would say the cheddar ones are better. I used Aldi cheese slices. They are just like a cracker.

I use pepper jack cheese as well. They taste the best and crispy like a Cheez-it. I noticed that most cheeses turn dark brown or burn, especially the provolone cheese. I bake them for 45 minutes, flip them, then 45 more minutes.

Made with Simple Truth - Colby Jack… worked perfectly! Will consider sprinkling extra spices on top next time, but we’re perfectly delicious with just the cheese.

Is this the secret recipe for Cheez-It’s? I did not use that brand of cheese (finlandia cheddar for deli). After 1 hour it was darker than pictures so I stopped. Also put on paper towels to absorb the grease as they cooled down. Love flavor- will try specific brand next time to see if different. Love that taste- really it’s a cheez-it.
