Keto Baked Masala Chicken

12 ratings

We love dishes that can go from stovetop to oven. It allows you to get a good sear on the meat (and therefore good flavor!) and then finish the meal in the oven so the protein does not get overcooked. Plus, everything can be made in one pan, which is so nice for clean up and serving. This dish is full of delicious flavor thanks to garam marsala and clarified butter. This would be great served with a nice green veggie or cauliflower rice. Use a garam marsala that does not have sugar. If your spice mix contains salt, great! If it does not, please season the chicken and the sauce with salt to your liking.

The name of this dish is incorrect. Going by the ingredients, it should have been named masala and not marsala. Marsala and Masala are very different dishes. Marsala doesn't contain any Indian spices like the mentioned Punjabi masala.

Delicious and very easy. With only 3g of net carbs per serving, I may add more veggies next time like onion and other bell peppers.

Is this the coconut milk in the can? Assuming so and shake to mix and don't just use "milk" on top, correct?

Delicious, easy, fast - real food. Everything that makes me feel not beeing on a diet. I cut the chicken into bigger peaces and added salt. It was perfect.

Was good but lacked seasoning. Next time I will salt the chicken before sauteing. We did not have a whole cauliflower to make the rice (a definite must) so we added frozen florets to the pan with the red peppers. Was a nice addition. Would make this again with the alterations.

Delicious! Will definitely make this dish again. There was plenty of sauce to throw in some cauliflower for an added veggie.

This is Indian cuisine, Garam Masala is the spice. Ma"r"sala is a wine.
