Keto 3-ingredient Strawberry Ice Cream

This strawberry-flavored Keto condensed milk ice cream is one of the best low-carb ice cream recipes on the internet. It requires 3 simple ingredients and a set of basic culinary skills. This 3 ingredient Keto ice cream is a refreshing treat that will satisfy your sweet tooth and keep your diet in check.

Can you use fresh strawberries for this Keto ice cream recipe?

We don't recommend using fresh or frozen strawberries for this recipe because they have a high-water content, making the ice cream icy. Freeze-dried strawberries, on the other hand, have no water, which will retain the smooth texture of the ice cream.

Can you use this recipe to make another fruit-flavored ice cream?

Absolutely! You can use any fruit or berry in this recipe as long as it is freeze-dried. Some great options include blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. You can even take these flavors to the next level by adding vanilla extract or lemon/ lime zest.

What is the best sweetener to use for this Keto ice cream?

While any powdered or liquid sweetener would work in this recipe, it's best to choose one that doesn't harden or crystallize when frozen; we found that the best Keto sweetener for this recipe is powdered allulose. It doesn't yield rock-hard ice cream nor crystallize.

Can you make this Keto ice cream recipe in an ice-cream churner?

Yes, you can. This recipe requires less effort if you have access to an ice cream machine. Follow the instructions as written, but instead of transferring the ice cream mixture to a container, pour it into your ice cream machine's bowl. Let the ice cream churn for 20-30 minutes until it becomes thick and frozen. You can serve it immediately or transfer it to a container and freeze it for later.

Really didn’t care for the flavor or the texture. The keto condensed milk tasted just like condensed milk, but the ice cream itself was just pure powder texture. I may make it again and alter the recipe with a different kind of sugar. But until then this is a hard no as is and a waster of time.

For the repeated whiskings during the freezing process, do you remove the mixture from the container to a bowl to whisk and then return it to the container? Or do you whisk it right in the container?
