Nut-free Keto Cream Cheese Slice And Bake Cookies

5 ratings

These cream cheese slice and bake cookies are nut-free. They bake up similarly to sugar cookies. They can be dipped into chocolate and sprinkled with nuts or eaten as is. This a great recipe to keep on hand because they need to be frozen before sliced and baked, meaning you can keep them in stock and ready to bake whenever you need a sweet fix.

Can Ricotta cheese be substituted for cream cheese in recipes, especially this one?

How is this “nut-free” with coconut flour?

Coconuts are more in the seed family (exothermic seed), so folks who are allergic to nuts (like I am) can generally tolerate coconuts. The danger is more from possible cross-contamination if the coconut is processed in a factory that also processes nuts.

The botanical distance between coconuts and tree nuts would suggest that people with tree nut allergy should be able to tolerate coconut and studies have shown that this is generally true. Therefore, there is no general recommendation that patients with tree nut allergy should avoid coconut.
