Keto Creamy Mushrooms
These low carb mushrooms are cooked in rich creamy cheese sauce with a little hint of mustard and topped with crisp bacon and aromatic chives.
This is a great side dish for sharing alongside chicken or pork.

Ingredients
Bacon
2 slice - 6" long
Garlic
1 clove
White Onion
1 tablespoon
Cream Cheese Spread
1-½ tablespoon
Raw White Mushrooms
1-¼ cup pieces
Parmesan Cheese
1 tablespoon, grated
Mustard
1 teaspoon
Heavy Cream
1 tablespoon
Chives, Raw
1 tablespoon
Olive Oil
1 tablespoon
Salt, Sea Salt
¼ teaspoon
Chicken Broth, Bouillon Or Consomme, Ready-to-serve Can
¼ cup
Black Pepper
⅛ teaspoon

Step 1
Heat the oil in a skillet over a medium heat and add the bacon. Cook until golden brown and crisp on both sides. Remove from the pan with a slotted spoon and set aside.Step 2
Mince the garlic and add to the pan along with the onion and sweat gently until tender.Step 3
Slice the mushrooms in half and add to the pan. Season to taste and cook until browned all over and tender.Step 4
Add the cream cheese, Parmesan, mustard, cream and stock. Stir well to combine and bring to a simmer until you have a thickened creamy sauce and the mushrooms are cooked through.Step 5
Crumble the cooked bacon over the top of the mushrooms and scatter with the fresh chives to serve.

Yum! My hubby is a mad keen creamy mushrooms guy and was telling me the whole time I was doing it “wrong”… then he tried it… sweet humble pie! This take on creamy mushrooms was awesome!

Fantastic! We topped pork steaks with this and it was the equivalent of a high dollar steak house meal! It would be perfect on beef or chicken as well.

proportions are wrong - - way too runny. Suggest to reduce chicken broth to 2 TBS

2 tablespoons is quarter of a cup isn’t it? It Was really quick, really easy and it is very delicious. I added more mushrooms... Great!
