Keto BBQ Beef Brisket

14 ratings

Slow cooked beef brisket is a great way of cooking up a large portion of meat that can be portioned out over several meals.

This BBQ brisket uses our own BBQ sauce and a spiced rub to give the beef an intensely smokey flavor.

The recipe requires ½ a batch of our BBQ sauce, but if you prefer you can make an entire batch and utilize the rest in another recipe.

Once cooked, this brisket tastes great with our smokey slaw or alongside a simple summer salad.

HOW TO FIND RECIPES/ BBQ SAUCE NOTED There are 2 ways you can go about this. 1. This is the quick down and dirty way to look. Go into your food log and search for Low Carb BBQ Sauce. Select Recipes located under the search field. 2. Ideal to look at specific food catagories. Tap on the Meals icon at the bottom of your screen. At the top select Recipes. Enter the item you are looking for in the search field and select the catagory below the search field. This area does slide and even includes a specific Paleo catagory...for future reference.

"Pressure Cook at High Pressure for 75 minute and Natural Release for 15 minutes. Remove the lid carefully." Going to try this from Amy + Jackie. They test recipes and work with Instant Pot. I'll use the seasonings, etc. here, but this is the time in the IP for a 1.5-2lb brisket.

I don't have a slow cooker, so should I set my oven at 300F and cook for the same length of time? Should I braise the meat before adding the rest of the ingredients?

I made my brisket at 400F for 4 hours covered with aluminium paper and I use a disposable pot. Any preparation or condiments I always do in the oven for 4 hours at 400. When its ready . Uncovered for 10 minutes to take a good color

Hi, unfortunately I cannot say for sure as i have not tried cooking this recipe in a regular oven. Braising first would be a good idea and then I would keep an eye on it once it's in the oven.

This recipe was great but the nutrition seems way off compared to the ingredients added to my log by themselves.

I don’t think the protein macros are correct. There is roughly 312g of protein in a 3.5lb brisket and if that makes 6 servings the protein should be about 52g...

To the person who said it’s too much protein, there are many of us on Keto who intermittent fast so only eat one bigger meal per day, so this would be a great choice. Thanks for sharing this! Will be trying it soon!
