Keto Roasted Asparagus
This side dish is super quick to throw together! Simply toss the asparagus in olive oil and add a little salt, then roast away! Roast veggies at a high temp so they get some color, yet retain a nice crunch.

Asparagus
30 medium spear
Olive Oil

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 F. Wash and trim asparagus. Bend the bottom half of an asparagus stem until it breaks. This is the same place where you will align and trim the rest of the stalks.Step 2
Place asparagus on a sheet tray, drizzle with olive oil and salt. Toss to coat.Step 3
Bake asparagus for 8 minutes until cooked, yet still crunchy and green.

I cooked the asparagus on the same pan as the pork chops on 375 and they were perfect. I put lemons slices and butter on them as well.

It's roasted because it doesn't involve the grill - is in the oven. Put the same stuff on the grill and it *would* be grilled.

So I have been making my asparagus like this for a long time without realizing it was keto. I add pepper and garlic and cook on the barbecue grill. So good!

Sounds good, but the asparagus in Aldi comes up at more than twice the carbs for this weight.

Well, in the recipe, it says 4 servings and 30 spears (or 480 grams). Dividing by 4 should give you your answer.

In the recipe above it lists 30 stalks = 4 servings so roughly 5 stalks per serving.

Tried, true and tested. I used avocado oil and Himalayan salt instead. Other than that followed the recipe. Easy to make and very tasty!

I make these ALL THE TIME. Add a little pepper too. I think I do olive oil, salt & pepper for almost anything savory I cook!
