Low Carb Big Mac Salad
This Keto salad is inspired by a classic Big Mac®, bringing all the flavors minus the carby guilt! This quick and easy lunch salad is simple to prepare with just a handful of ingredients and ready to serve in no time. We have dressed our salad with our own Keto Thousand Island dressing. You can find the recipe for this in our sides section.
Can I Eat Burgers on a Keto Diet?
As one of the most popular meals worldwide, burgers are a firm family favorite. Although a burger is traditionally served in a carb-heavy bun, there are many adaptations you can make that allow you to enjoy all the flavors of a burger without the carbs. Low carb burgers are commonly served in lettuce wraps or mushroom buns, but for this Keto recipe we have broken down the components of our favorite burger and added them to a deliciously filling lunch salad.
Is Burger Sauce Keto?
We have used a Keto take on a classic Thousand Island dressing to dress our burger salad. Our low carb version of this traditional burger sauce can be found in our sides section. Alternatively, you may use any Keto compliant dressing you wish, such as a low carb tomato or BBQ sauce. You can find an array of sauce choices in our sides section. Please be sure to factor any changes made into your macros. Please note the salad prep time does not include the time to make the burger sauce.

Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over a medium/high heat. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Let the beef settle and cook for a minute or two, then break into bite-sized chunks with a wooden spoon. Add the garlic powder and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Stir to combine. Cook the beef through completely until well browned all over. Remove from the skillet and set to one side to cool.Step 2
While the beef is cooking you can prepare the salad base. Roughly chop the lettuce, thinly slice the tomato, onion and dill pickles. Add the chopped vegetables to a large salad or serving bowl. Toss together to combine.Step 3
Arrange the cooled beef over the top of the salad. Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the top. Drizzle over the salad dressing. Lightly toss the salad, mixing the beef and cheese with the vegetables and dressing. Divide into four individual bowls to serve.
