Keto Frozen Frosting Bites

18 ratings

These little treats are just like licking off the icing from your birthday cake! Almost exactly like buttercream, each frosting drop acts as a “fat bomb” as well as satisfies your sweet tooth! These frosting drops were tinted pink just for fun, but you are not required to add food coloring for this recipe.

Someone gave me the idea: dip in milk chocolate & toasted coconut. I may throw the coconut into the cream mixture then dip. Trying today. Hmm. Perhaps I'll add melted chocolate chips right into the cream mixture. Very excited to try new ingredients. This recipe is an exquisite base for a multitude of ideas.

I’d switch to dark chocolate if you plan to use these to extend a fast.

          Are you doing keto?

The macros are spot on! On days when I'm seriously low on fat I need at least 6 bites. Only 230 calories too. I need an ingredient to cut through the cream. Do you think instant coffee melted in a bit of boiling water could be added? Any ideas?

I’d also try mixing in cacao powder for chocolate flavor. Might need more stevia.

I’d try grinding the instant crystals to a fine powder and mix into your beaten cream. If that doesn’t work, try dissolving the powdered instant coffee in the cream BEFORE whipping.

What could you use instead of vanilla extract is this necessary ?

Just gives an added flavor without affecting blood glucose. You could also use any other extract flavorings in your cupboard- I like almond, or mint. Omitting extract flavoring will not affect the way these turn out. Recovering Alcoholics should NOT use alcohol based extract flavorngs.

These taste just like ice cream. I omitted the sprinkles and food coloring and they still turned out really good.

Can the bakers sugar be replaced with swere? Either the icing sugar or granulated sugar?

                Swerve icing sugar works great!

I haven’t made these in a long time. I didn’t pay attention to the instructions and whipped the cream and whipped cream cheese together and I thought oh no it’s not going to whip but it whipped up very nicely. You can save yourself some time and dishes if you mix them together.

I love these. My parents love these. I’ve made them a few times with a few crushed pecans, a bit I’d shredded coconut, plain and today I added peppermint and tinted green. Yummy!
