Keto Baked Goat Cheese

Upgrade from your processed mozzarella cheese sticks to crowd-pleasing baked goat cheese! Just like mozzarella sticks, thick portions of firm goat cheese are baked to a soft and smooth texture in the oven without melting. Each bite has a crispy and crunchy outside and a hot inside of warm tangy goat cheese. For this recipe, you can use a plain goat cheese from your favorite brand or opt in for goat cheese made with blended herbs.

  • Step 1

Preheat an oven to 400 degrees. Use a food processor to pulse the pork rinds into a fine crumbly breading. Mix the pork rind crumbs on a plate with shredded parmesan, pepper, and italian seasoning. For this recipe, you may wish to add extra seasoned breading to your plate to have extra while you coat the goat cheese.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

Slice a firm 4-oz goat cheese log into 8, ½-oz pieces. In the original recipe here, a goat cheese with a blend of herbs mixed in was chosen. You can choose a seasoned goat cheese or use plain goat cheese for this recipe. Avoid cheeses with fruit or honey flavors to stay keto. Additionally, whisk an egg in a bowl.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

One by one, dip the goat cheese slices in the egg. Let the excess egg drip off before coating in seasoned breading and arranging on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

Baked the tray for 20 minutes, flipping the breaded goat cheese pieces over after 15 minutes. Eat while warm.

Wonderful! But make sure you use shredded parm not grated to help them keep shape!
