I made this recipe again and broke down the ingredients separately. I used two tablespoons of Swerve instead of the amount in the recipe and honestly you could get away with using 1tablespoon . Still very sweet with 2T. With the adjustment in Swerve the net Carbs was 14. It is a delicious breakfast.

Yikes I should have looked at the recipe a bit closer before a started drinking it! I broke the ingredients down and if you reduce the amount of Swerve to a couple of tablespoons depending on how sweet you like your smoothies it is much better in the carb category! Yikes blew this day! 😟

Net carbs! Net carbs! At least in the vegan keto world we only count net carbs. Net carbs are what really counts. They are calculated this way: NC = Total carbs - Fiber - sugar alcohols. Fiber and sugar alcohols are not used by the body like regular carbs are, so they don't count. Please do your research.

This is 85g over my daily carb intake. And this is just one shake. I will starve for the rest of the day.

I used half the amount of swerve called for. Of you're using at as a base for a protein shake I guess that's cool and maybe I'm missing the point of using tofu?! It was introduced to me as an item to drink for breakfast in my meal plan. Not to happy about that.

I personally think the recipe is incorrect or a joke.

No typo, that’s the erythritol. However, the body doesn’t absorb it and simply passes it. Hence the “five net carbs.” You do need that much to get the right sweetness level.

Check out the amount of Swerve...seems wrong. 1/2 cup for one shake?
