Keto Apple Cider Vinegar Immunity Shot

No, we don’t mean shots you get at the doctor’s office; and no, neither do we mean shots you take at the bar! This Keto immune boosting recipe is a shot of natural ingredients believed to help you stay healthy before flu season sweeps through the neighborhood. Do not expect the immunity shot to taste like a dessert; this stuff packs a punch, and that’s the point! Every ingredient included in the recipe holds health properties that may regulate blood circulation, regulate heartbeat, protect you from bad bacteria, aid your gut health, and stimulate the digestive system. Every shot of the Keto apple cider vinegar remedy can potentially keep your body in its healthiest state so even the nastiest cold can’t touch you. Once you get a hang of the recipe, you can alter or add additional natural ingredients that you know to hold health benefits (always use food-safe ingredients that are labeled safe for consumption).

Tips For Canning The Recipe For Longer Fermentation

If you’re making a larger recipe and you want to properly can a jar of immunity shots, you’ll need to use a new lid and own a pot large enough for the jar to be submerged in. Once your jar is sealed, place the jar in the bottom of your pot and fill it with water until the jar is covered. Bring the pot to a boil and boil the jar for 10 minutes or longer. Transfer the jar to a safe place to cool down at room temperature overnight before moving it to a refrigerator or a cool, dry shelf. Sealed jars can ferment for weeks to months.

Does This Recipe Help The Keto Flu?

Although the ingredients may help you feel better while you have the Keto flu, that’s not what this recipe is designed for. The Keto flu is not a real virus or bacteria that you can transmit to others. Instead, the Keto flu is a series of symptoms that feel very similar to flu symptoms. However, if you don’t maintain a strong immunity, the Keto flu can weaken your immunity enough where you can catch a real flu virus. The bottom line is that giving your body the proper nutrients, vitamins, and healthy gut bacteria it needs is necessary every day.

  • Step 1

Choose a glass jar that includes at least 4 fluid ounces of space per serving. You’ll need a lid to match the jar, but it doesn’t have to be a fresh lid unless you plan to make the recipe in a larger batch to store over a period of time. Start with preparing the produce ingredients by dicing or mincing the onion. Peel and smash or chop the garlic cloves. Deseed and dice the jalapeno, then combine the three ingredients in your jar. Make sure you wash your hands after handling the jalapeno.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

Add minced ginger, whole pieces of lemon peel (not zest), lemon juice, ground turmeric, cayenne, cinnamon, and your choice of dried or fresh rosemary to the jar. Turn your attention to the stove, and combine apple cider vinegar and liquid stevia in a pot. At your discretion, you can include more liquid stevia, but remember you’ll be drinking the shot quickly. Place a lid on the pot, and cook the apple cider vinegar on the stove until it’s boiling. After it reaches boiling point, remove the pot from the stove immediately.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Let the apple cider vinegar cool for a few minutes, and then pour the hot liquid into your jar of ingredients. There should be just a small amount of empty space at the top of your jar, depending on the size you’re making. Let the jar continue cooling in a safe place on a countertop until it’s no longer too hot to handle. Seal the jar, and shake it up one time to mix the ingredients around a little. Place the sealed jar in your refrigerator to completely cool down and ferment for at least 12 hours. After 12 hours, you can continue on to the next step, but the immunity shots can ferment for up to weeks at a time to have the richest health benefits.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

If you’re choosing the quicker fermentation style with a re-used lid, keep the recipe in your refrigerator for up to 7 days for freshness. Take a shot once a day before you start feeling flu symptoms or when you first start feeling symptoms. You can strain the liquid straight from the jar, or you can use a strainer to ensure you have a clean shot to go down easily. If you have canned the recipe for longer storage, refer to the introduction for more information. Say “cheers” in your preferred language and throw one back!
