Keto Air Fryer Chicken Foil Packets
Although foil packets are traditionally prepared over coals on a campfire, these simple Keto air fryer chicken foil packets are equally delicious and even easier to prepare. They will soon becone one of your favorite Keto air fryer recipes! Marinating the mixture is a very important step because it will enhance the flavor and add extra moisture. However, make sure to drain any excess liquid to prevent it from dripping all over your air fryer. Also, please note that the preparation time includes the time necessary to marinate the ingredients.
Can I use cooked bacon?
Yes, you can also use cooked bacon but the flavors will not penetrate the meat and vegetables as well as the uncooked bacon slices.
How will I know if the meat is fully cooked?
It is a bit tricky to know when the meat and vegetables are fully cooked when you're preparing foil packets. Unfortunately, the only way to be completely sure is to unfold the packets and then fold them back again.
Can I use any other ingredients?
Traditional foil packets are a combination of various types of meat and vegetables. The options are endless but make sure to keep them low carb or Keto friendly.

Step 1
Pat dry the meat and vegetables. Cut everything into bite-sized pieces. Add to a large bowl.Step 2
Drizzle olive oil over everything and season with herbs and spices. Toss well to combine, making sure to coat each piece. Refrigerate for 40 minutes.Step 3
Remove the mixture from the refrigerator and transfer to a large colander. Drain the excess marinade for about 5 minutes. This step is very important because you don't want too much oil in your foil packets.Step 4
Place ¼ of the mixture on a piece of heavy-duty foil and add ¼ of the sliced and chopped bacon. Fold and seal the foil tightly. Repeat with the remaining mixture.Step 5
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Add the prepared foil packets to the basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you will probably have to cook these in several batches. Cook for 30 minutes.Step 6
When done, remove the foil packets from the air fryer basket. Carefully, open the foil packets and serve immediately. Optionally, garnish with some lemon slices and fresh parsley.
